The client.
The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) is a British public service broadcaster headquartered at Broadcasting House in London, England.
Following the Covid-19 outbreak, they sought to reinvent the way they work by adopting more efficient and flexible storage solutions for both users and management teams.
The project.
To address this need, we provided them with ‘Sample Simplicity’ – a trial installation of our Simplicity smart lockers at the BBC’s New Broadcasting House office in London. These lockers, equipped with Simplicity+ locks, allow direct access at the locker doors, offering a modern solution for workplace storage. The trial proved to be a resounding success.
In collaboration with ID:SR, we installed pine wood veneered Simplicity smart lockers, integrated with joinery alcoves and drawers, to add a touch of sophistication to the workplace.
To maximise vertical space utilisation and improve team storage efficiency, we also designed and installed a bespoke smart storage wall featuring cupboards.
Additionally, we installed basement changing room lockers and bicycle lockers, providing employees with a secure and convenient way to store their personal belongings while in the office. These additions not only help keep the office clutter-free, but also contribute to enhancing job satisfaction and workplace culture.
The results.
The BBC’s forward-thinking office space is now future-proof with bespoke smart storage solutions that streamline workflows and create a more professional and inviting work environment.
