Two Months in the Business with Wynn Morris

Back in September we appointed Wynn Morris as Head of Sales – Public Sector here at Your Workspace. It’s been a busy few months, with many changes coming into effect both internally and externally. We wanted to find out how Wynn was enjoying his role so far and get an insight into the company from the perspective of someone who has recently joined.

We caught up with Wynn, whilst observing social distancing rules of course, to discuss his first few months within the business and to see how it was all going.

Wynn, you have been with the company for around 2 months now, how are you finding everything?

“I am really enjoying the role so far. Everyone has been extremely welcoming, and the company has a positive and good atmosphere. It is great to be part of an inclusive and supportive team.”

It’s good to hear you have been made to feel like one of the family! What have you learnt about the company so far that has surprised you the most? 

“Although I knew Your Workspace had decades of experience in their field and are a well-established company, I was blown away by the amount of prestigious and high-end clients in our portfolio. With so many well-known brands and household names as new and existing customers, it is exciting to be a part of this globally expanding company.”

Your Workspace has many innovative and exciting products in its furniture, smart storage and agile workplace range, what product stands out to you as your favourite?

“The range of Simplicity smart lockers are a firm favourite with me. They are a product that brings real benefits to our clients and the smart locker concept is our most popular storage solution.  I really feel there is a gap in the market however if we merged our Plexus storage unit with Simplicity. Watch this space.”

Now there is a match made in heaven! Watch this space for a future product launch perhaps? And finally, given the current climate, what is the biggest challenge you feel our industry is facing?

“As with every other industry nationally at the moment, COVID-19 is forcing organisations to adapt the way in which they operate and interact with their clients. The last 8 months have been career changing, but thanks to the likes of Zoom and Microsoft Teams, we have been able to stay in touch with colleagues and customers in a digital capacity.”

It has been a pleasure welcoming you to the team Wynn, it’s almost as if you are now part of the furniture.
